Hungry Lotus is a family run food truck run by Heath and Tam Howitt. Born and raised in Vietnam, Tam is adept at making authentic Vietnamese dishes. In 2014 Tam opened a tiny food truck in Eugene, Oregon called “Tam’s Place Vietnamese Cuisine”. Having a passion for food, Tam honed her culinary skills for 8 years. In 2023 we moved to McAlester, Oklahoma. During the transition we got a new food truck and felt it was time for a new name. Tam’s mom and our two daughters are always working hard behind the scenes as well.

At Hungry Lotus we care about people. A lot of love goes into making our food fresh every day. We don’t use MSG or microwaves.
